Our mission is to maximize the potential of children by providing individualized, family-centered education and intervention services. We believe families are the most important part of therapy. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate in all therapies to help implement and support their child’s growth beyond our scheduled sessions. We are dedicated to helping the children’s voices be heard in the Hudson Valley.
Communication Station is dedicated to providing quality speech-language therapy and special education services to children ages birth to 3 with a family centered approach. Families are involved in every step of their child’s early intervention program to learn how they can best help their child reach their fullest potential. Family members are in integral part of the program as they are taught strategies and techniques to incorporate into their son or daughter’s daily routine.
Communication Station is proud to offer speech-language therapy via teletherapy, which is therapy over the internet through a live video connection. Your child will interact “face to face” with a Communication Station speech-language pathologist, play games, and learn/practice skills. Evaluations and screenings can also be done with telepractice. Telepractice allows for immediate carryover of skills into your child’s daily routines, supporting their strengths, and coaching families how to make modifications/adaptations to activities or interactions. Teletherapy is an excellent way to receive therapy services when travelling to a clinic isn’t a realistic option or to allow for more scheduling flexibility.
Our speech-language pathologists at Communication Station come from diverse clinical backgrounds and experiences. When assign a speech-language pathologist to work with your child, we base the referral on the need of your child and the experience of the speech-language pathologist in that area of need.
